CASE STUDY

134th EUROPOL MANAGEMENT BOARD

From 11th to 13th of December took place the 134th Europol Management Board, an event that consisted in gathering all the European police representatives and talk about international coordination and actions to be done regarding the security within members in the frame of Europe.

Ditec was in charge of the whole production, from the carpet and stage to all the audiovisual and conference equipment.

Main challenges

As an international event where coexist a multilingual environment, 22 booths and languages were required, so logistics were very important as we needed more equipment than we have in our warehouse and must be in place the exact date and time for not overlapping other set ups and lose any time.

The time for set up was very tight so we had to make 2 groups, one for the night and another one arriving at first time in the morning, so first group had to set up stages and carpets and start setting up the booths on, and the rest of the team started the cabling, control and equipment system.

Equipping 22 booths needs good coordination from the beginning till the end.

Event solution

We used 66 Dicentis consoles for the delegates and configured all the languages in the system. We also used 75 push to talk Dicentis microphones for the delegates, and 150 receivers for the rest of attendees. We combined the system with Avonic cameras placed in the centre of the meeting.

Our most valuable thing was our past experiences with similar events and being member of the Congress Rental Network, due to thanks to this alliance we were able to carry out this big job, as we completed our equipment with their stock, so big shout out to Jacot from the Netherlands and Smart Choice from Portugal for their valuable help.
