Interactive Voting Systems
Interactive voting solutions based on commands or via mobile, developed to solve the new challenges presented by today’s communication. Its applications in the educational and business fields are the ideal way to visualize the results in real time.
What is the Interactive voting system?
Originally it was a system made up of voting commands equipped with different numbers, types of responses (yes/no or true/false, for example), and software that runs from a computer that, through an antenna, receives the results of the remote controls. This allowed each person, from the comfort of a remote control, to choose between previously stipulated options that were viewed in front of a screen.
A computer processes the data and gives us a series of results and statistics of the attendees.
The main novelty of the system is that it no longer requires the use of controls, and the system has been developed to be used in different ways and with more capabilities with smartphones and tablets.
How does the Turning Point system work?
With the old voting controls, the system was based on the creation of documents or PowerPoint files. A series of questions were formulated to which the public must respond by pressing the different buttons that the remote control has for this purpose.
The information emitted by all the controls is transmitted to the computer. The software processes them immediately to provide the results in the desired form and a series of statistics regarding the vote.
Ditec Comunicaciones recommends the use of dedicated Wi-fi networks for the application instead of depending on Wi-fi networks that are normally saturated in conference centers and hotels.
Main Advantage
A great advantage of this system is that it can also be used by combining mobile phones to the votes, so it allows several changes. Let’s imagine that there is a room with 100 people:
- The first possibility is that everyone has voting control.
- The second possibility is that none of them have voting control, and they only use the mobile application.
- The third is that a few have voting controls, and others are mobile and can work simultaneously. For some reason, the controls may run out, or people may arrive late or simply prefer to use their smartphones.
- And the fourth and most interesting thing is that those in the room have, for example, voting controls, and others who may be following the presentation via streaming or videoconference can also vote remotely.
Beyond a voting system
This technology represents a notable advance in the modernization of meetings and training since evaluation processes can be carried out using the multiple choice method (several questions to choose type A, B, C) with complete safety and speed.
Within the business field, the applications are linked to decision-making in groups such as shareholder meetings, internal staff meetings where knowing the opinion on certain issues is important, or for team building activities.
Work meetings between employees of the same department are also a favorable environment since it stimulates group work and the development of conclusions quickly.
