The new system allows face-to-face meetings to be held through videoconferencing with MS TEAMS and VoIP calls. In addition, two virtual rooms can be set up to follow the meeting with simultaneous translation.
Conference System and Simultaneous Translation for Board Room
Itínere Infraestructuras is one of the main Spanish infrastructure managers. The Board Room, at its headquarters in Madrid, already had audiovisual equipment, but after a few years, a series of needs arose that made them consider a renovation of the existing system in this space.
Ditec Communications designed the project, assuming that the premises of the audiovisual system upgrade were both the improvement in the quality of the conference and interpretation system, as well as the expansion of its functionalities.
It was necessary to make a series of changes in the equipment, after an analysis: Replacement of the central conference unit, because the existing one was obsolete, incorporation of an audio processor, to be able to make calls with VoIP protocol and change of the EXTRON control system, which would allow managing the new audiovisual system.
Once the installation and commissioning project was completed, the system allowed face-to-face meetings through videoconferencing with MS TEAMS and VoIP calls. In addition, with the reconfiguration of the BOSCH DCN simultaneous translation system and the new TESIRAFORTÉ VT audio processor, meeting participants can decide in which language they want to follow the meeting by connecting to the virtual room of the chosen language.
Each of these virtual rooms allows meetings to be followed with live translation in two languages, in this case, Spanish and English, as well as allowing participants to speak in their own language, which will also be translated.
The result is an intuitively manageable system, with a touch panel through which you can switch the different video and audio signals of the room, as well as make and receive VoIP calls and enter different operating modes of the equipment.
