Ditec Communications has carried out the audiovisual engineering and the subsequent integration and commissioning at the company’s new headquarters located in Johannesburg, South Africa, thanks also to the collaboration of our PSNI partners for the installation of equipment.
Audiovisual Integration in South Africa
The integration consists of different spaces, such as the Staff Pause Area, which includes a large area for presentations with many personnel and Videoconferencing with the client’s different offices. It has a visualization system with an Epson projector and professional Samsung monitors for reinforcement, wireless presentation systems (Clickshare by Barco), and wired presentation systems using HDMI twisted pair extenders. The space also allows videoconferencing with any platform in the cloud, using a PTZ Aver camera and an audio system composed of Shure microphones, a sound system with ceiling speakers and Extron amplification, and digital processing with Tesira. The room is intuitively managed with a Crestron control system, which uses a touch panel to send all commands to the control processor.
In the laboratories, there are “Viewing Rooms,” from which the customers’ reactions can be observed, discussed with them, and recorded for later study. Both types of rooms are equipped with a visualization system with Samsung monitors, Barco Clickshare wireless presentation system, AVER camera recording, Extron recorder/streaming equipment, an audio system with Biamp Tesira ceiling microphones, which allows for optimum speech intelligibility, and a Crestron control system that allows for easy and intuitive management of all the equipment.
The meeting rooms have been equipped for presentations and videoconferences, using the same technology as in the other spaces, adapted to the needs of each room, but with the aim of creating standards that can be replicated in the client’s other offices. In addition, Samsung professional monitors have been installed in the reception area for digital signage broadcasting.
