The President of the Generalitat has inaugurated the new surgical block at Bellvitge Hospital.
Bellvitge Hospital opens new Operating Rooms
The University Hospital of Bellvitge starts up the new surgical block where 15 of the 24 operating rooms are already operational. Ditec Communications, from its division Ditec Medical, is responsible for the equipment with the latest technology to perform highly complex surgeries in the new operating rooms.
All the main systems in the operating rooms hang from the ceiling with articulated arms and mobile turrets, minimizing the risk of contamination and comfortably facilitating the activity of the professionals. In addition, medical data, tests, and patient diagnoses can be accessed from the operating room through a touch screen control panel that is perfectly designed and integrated into the operating room. Two Barco 4K monitors have also been installed in order to be able to observe more results and variants during operations.
Each of the new operating rooms is directly connected to the training rooms and the assembly hall, allowing for Surgical Broadcasting via Videoconferencing and Streaming or by sending video and audio directly via fiber optics. In addition, the operating rooms are connected to the multimedia production room of the Hospital’s audiovisual department, where content can be recorded and edited for later use.
