Digitization of 24 Operating Rooms in Bellvitge
The University Hospital of Bellvitge is a health center that registers about 20,000 major surgical interventions annually and has about 4,300 professionals.
The Hospital had a large surgical block, built in 2008, pending its commissioning and with a design that was not originally designed for any type of Audiovisual Integration. Consequently, the first challenge presented to the Ditec Medical Engineering team was to carry out a complete remodeling of the Digitalization process, consisting of a total of 24 operating rooms, in a space where there were no facilities for installation (cable runs, hanging elements, non-existent access, etc.). The second great challenge for the team was to carry out the complete digitalization in only 9 months.
