Rental of audioguides and Infoports for simultaneous wireless translation
Ditec Comunicaciones is the company in Spain with more simultaneous translation equipment, and one of the products related to this is the Infoport audioguide system from Sennheiser, also commonly called Tourguide.
In Ditec we usually hire this type of solution to translation companies or directly to final clients who want that the assistants receive an information during a tour in their native language or at least that they can understand.
In cases such as a visit to a factory or space where you have to show machines or products, you need a translator to translate into another language to the person giving the explanation, for example the Director of the factory or the Production Manager. The same happens in the Museums to listen to the guide who does the explanations of the works and exhibitions or in the tourist tours in the cities and their emblematic buildings and spaces.
Infoports and Audioguides equipment (tourguides):
The wireless system that Ditec has and rents are the Infoport of the Sennheiser brand and its operation is very easy, so it is not usually necessary to hire a technician (although of course you can rent it with a technician). Basically it consists of headphones with some buttons (channels) that are different languages.
Depending on how many languages you want to translate, the translator will have a microphone for each language; which means that for each one there is a translator and a microphone per translator.
For example, if the person doing the explanation is doing it in Chinese and you have to translate it into the English, Spanish and German languages, there will be a translator for each language with a microphone each, and the participants or listeners will select from all the channels which suits them of the three. Hence, this wireless system is also called Tourguide.
One of the other advantages of this equipment is its comfort, they allow to be used for a long period of time because it weigh little, and their collection and distribution among the assistants is comfortable, since they are wireless they do not need to roll and unroll cables. The same suitcase where they are transported is used to recharge them.
It must be said that Ditec has both analogue and digital, the latter of last generation there is no type of signal or frequency interference, to be digital all these problems that all analog systems happen to be minimized by the new technology.
